Eric Leadbetter was born in Bozeman, Montana, and draws his inspiration from the tall mountains and the cold smoke of home. He started recording music in 2003, moved to Boulder, Colorado, and began playing coffee shops and small bars before forming the band Jive Coulis in 2006 — a group that toured over 20 states in a veggie-oil-powered school bus and released four original albums.
Jive Coulis retired in 2017, and Leadbetter Band was born. Since then, the band has released four albums — Leadbetter Band (2019), Howl (2021), Cake (2023), and Spell (2025) — along with a solo acoustic record, Middle Ground, in 2020.
Now based in southwest Montana, Eric plays an average of 240+ shows a year across the Northwest — solo, duo, and full band — while also teaching guitar and songwriting. He's opened for ZZ Top, Marcus King, John Mayall, Leftover Salmon, Blues Traveler, Govt Mule, and more.
Rooted in the golden ages of rock and built on decades of vinyl-deep listening, Eric's music is honest, earned, and built for a room full of people who came to feel something. Tonight, he brings his newest single, End of the Line, home to Light House.
