Sacred Union: A Beltane Ceremony

Beltane falls at the midpoint between the spring equinox and summer solstice, a cross-quarter threshold, a hinge in the year where something tips. The ancient Celts understood this not as a date on a calendar but as a living moment: the beginning of the pastoral summer, a spring time festival of fertility. A time when the forces of creation were at their most accessible. They say that any conception occurring on this day marked the creation of a being that walked with the Gods. This can be true for an idea or a person, but the energy remains. What is created in this portal will hold the fire to endure.

At the heart of every Beltane rite was the sacred marriage. The union of the Green Man — the Sun — and the May Queen — the awakening Earth — was enacted as a ritual marriage of God and Goddess, of Earth and Sky. Not metaphor alone. A real ceremony. A moment to feel into the creative aliveness that comes when we find that inner union, sowing the seeds of our growth and replenishment.

That is what we are gathering to do.

On May 1st, Light House opens as ceremonial ground. We will move through a guided inner journey, a ritual honoring this cross-quarter day, sound healing, and somatic movement — each element in conversation with the season's oldest invitation: to let what is fertile and alive in you rise to meet what is fertile and alive in everything around you.

Beltane is a time when the veil between realms grows thin, not only between worlds, but between who you have been and what is ready to be born. Between the self that kept the ember through the dark winter and the one ready to be the flame of its own becoming.
